Our holistic approach towards transforming lives focuses on the three following thematic areas:
- Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM): Promote the efficient development and management of natural resources to meet the basic and livelihood needs of the target communities. IWRM is a broad based approach and includes a wide range of activities mainly in the Water and Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) sector.
- Civil Society Development (CSD): Building the capacity of local organization and organized communities aiming at strengthening their participation in humanitarian interventions, poverty reduction and sustainable development initiatives.
- Inclusive Education (IE): Ensuring equal access and sustained provision of quality learning opportunities for children, youth and women from disadvantaged backgrounds with diverse learning abilities.
Our other sectors of engagement include: Microfinance, Education, Health, Food Security and Livelihoods and Emergency Relief. These sector overlap, but at the core of our engagement is the desire to support projects with a ripple and reproducing effect. We seek to encourage and strengthen local initiatives by local groups and organisations where we operate. Local ownership remains key across all our programmes.
