Key Areas of Involvement
IAS is currently involved in six major sectors, namely:

Water and Sanitation
Increase access to safe water and
appropriate sanitary facilities in order to improve quality of
life, reduce the incidence of water borne diseases and sustainable
water point maintenance strategy. |

Food Security
Promote self-reliance in food and agricultural
development in order to create a better standard of living
for the beneficiaries. |

Education
Promote and form recognized education programmes
with sustainable strategies in terms of access,
equity, retention, quality and relevance in order to raise the
standard of education on individual and national levels. |

Health
Contribute towards the achievement of ‘health for
all’ and wholesome living for communities. |

Community empowerment
Motivate positive community
behavioral change towards project ownership, dignity, participation,
sustainability and self-reliance. |

Emergency Relief
Minimize the effects of disasters on
communities through the delivery of appropriate emergency
relief services and materials in a timely and efficient manner.

Micro-Finance
Empower poor rural communities in the fight against poverty by providing
financial knowledge and means to save, access credit, and start small businesses.
